First Place - A three-member team from the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology at Purdue University received top honors in the Airport Environmental Interactions category with its design titled, A Cost-effective Approach to Predict Noise Impacts for Non-Towered GA Airports. Second Place - A five-member team from the Mechanical Engineering - Engineering Mechanics Department at Michigan Technological University placed second in the Airport Environmental Interactions category with its design titled, Glycol Collection Cart: A Design for Small Airports. Third Place - A nine-member team from the Binghamton University Scholars Program at Binghamton University – State University of New York placed third in the Airport Environmental Interactions category with its design titled, Catch-CO2: Integration of Carbon Capture Technology on UAS. Honorable Mentions given to:
A two-member team from the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Rutgers University won an honorable mention in the Airport Environmental Interactions category with its design titled, Sustainability Assessment of Electrification of Ground Support Equipment at Airports. Dr. Hao Wang served as faculty adviser.
A three-member team from the Systems & Software Department at Stevens Institute of Technology won an honorable mention in the Runway Safety/Runway Incursions/Runway Excursions category with its design titled, AR Landing Smart Glasses. Professor Eirik Hole served as faculty adviser.
A five-member team from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma won an honorable mention in the Airport Management and Planning category with its design titled, WheelMate: An Assistive Device for a Standardized Method for Wheelchair Transfer with Asset Tracking Capabilities. Professor Jeff Moore and Fellow Jamie Franzese served as faculty advisers.
