National Cooperative Freight Research Program

The National Cooperative Freight Research Program (NCFRP) conducts research and disseminates timely findings that will inform investment and operations decisions affecting the performance of the freight transportation system.

Please note that no funding was authorized for the NCFRP in MAP-21 covering FY 2013 and FY 2014. TRB is in the process of completing all previously selected projects and will then discontinue the program.

Information on NCFRP and other TRB activities is available in the TRB E-Newsletter.  The NCFRP is managed by the Cooperative Research Programs of the Transportation Research Board.
