Oversight Committee

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine appointed a committee to oversee the work of the Phase 1 program. The Oversight Committee for Use and Oversight of SHRP 2 Safety Data, Phase 1 (FA014) is known as the Safety Data Oversight Committee (SDOC). The SDOC is responsible for overseeing TRB activities in the following: 1. Supporting data curation and provision of data access and support to as many qualified researchers as possible; 2. Gathering information on the market for the data, funding structures, and technical and institutional mechanisms to make the data available; and 3. Supporting the transition to the next phase of the SHRP 2 Safety Data curation.
FA014 Roster

In addition two Expert Task Groups were appointed by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to provide specialized, technical expertise to the Safety Data Oversight Committee. The Expert Task Group on Data Access for Safety Data, Phase 1 (FA015) is charged with providing continuing expertise on issues of data access, personally identifying information, and other data protection and security issues. The Expert Task Group for User Community Development for Safety Data, Phase 1 (FA016) is charged with providing expertise on building and maintaining user communities as well as on outreach and communications.
