TRR, which is published throughout the year, consist of collections of papers on specific transportation modes and subject areas.
A full compilation of titles since the 2002 series of TRR is accessible electronically. Each title includes a short description of the topics covered by the publication and instructions on how to access abstracts of the individual papers that make up the publication. You may order individual printed TRR journals from recent years, get additional information on the TRR Journal Online subscription process, or information on any other TRB publication by contacting TRB's Business Office at 202-334-3213 or visiting TRB's electronic bookstore.
The 2013 series marks the 50th year of TRB’s peer-reviewed journal, which debuted as the Highway Research Record in 1963; became the Transportation Research Record in 1974, with Number 480; and added the subtitle, Journal of the Transportation Research Board, in 2000, with Number 1653. In all, TRB has published more than 25,000 papers in volumes of TRR and continues to build on its tradition of disseminating research findings to advance transportation. |
TR News 327: Tunnels: Safety and Technology Advances in the United States and BeyondSeptember 3, 2020 Compared with much of the world, the United States has relatively few highway tunnels. Norway, for instance, has more than 900 roadway tunnels, while the entire United States has 503. In a feature article in TR News magazine, Number 327, May-June 2020, the authors examine the challenges of using tunnels in a road or rail network, including relatively high first costs, the need for continuing ma...
