Commodity Flow Survey Workshop

TRB E-Circular 205: Commodity Flow Survey Workshop highlights an October 29, 2015 workshop that explored the Commodity Flow Survey (CFS), a data source for many freight planning activities. Workshop participants collaborated with the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) to provide input to the next application of the survey. Input was provided to help inform the structure, scope, and sampling methods for future surveys, and explored how CFS tools and functionality may be improved for current and future uses.
