Committee for Pavement Technology Review and Evaluation Letter Report: February 2008

TRB’s Committee for Pavement Technology Review and Evaluation has issued its second letter report to J. Richard Capka, Administrator of the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).  The committee was established at the request of the FHWA to provide strategic advice and guidance on the FHWA’s Pavement Technology Program as authorized under the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users.  The letter report addresses the Focus Area Leadership and Coordination (FALCON) teams, stakeholder involvement, FHWA pavement and materials strategic planning, fiscal year 2008 activities, performance measures, deployment and implementation, training, and the status of the Long-Term Pavement Performance Program.
