Strategic Highway Research Program II Quarterly Report: July 2006

TRB’s Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP II) has released the second issue of its quarterly newsletter designed to keep stakeholders up to date on activities taking place within the SHRP II program.  This issue covers the creation and convening of SHRP II’s four Technical Coordinating Committees in the areas of safety, renewal, reliability, and capacity; the program’s ambitious new schedule; the re-scoping of the four program areas’ research plans; and new staff who have joined the SHRP II team.  SHRP II is a short-term program of focused, cross-discipline research that will be the foundation for accelerating solutions in highway safety, planning, development, construction, and operations.
