400 South Corridor Assessment
The Upper Great Plains Institute at North Dakota State University has released a report that analyzes the impact of light rail transit (LRT) Transit Signal Priority on other modes of transportation and the performance of a transportation network using microsimulation environment. Due to the implementation of an additional LRT line in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, it is anticipated that an expected increase in frequency of LRT trains will worsen traffic and transit performance of a large and complex multi-modal network. The goal of this research is to limit severe impacts of this rail line.
