Mitigation Tools for Improving Rider Safety on Mopeds and Seated Motor Scooters
Relative to passenger cars, mopeds and seated motor scooters are associated with a higher risk for serious or fatal injuries in the event of a traffic crash. However, moped and scooter riders are sometimes not specifically recognized by statewide safety initiatives, as they are sometimes grouped together with related vehicles such as motorcycles.
