TRB Webinar: Balanced/Performance-Engineered Asphalt Mixture Design – Part 1

TRB conducted a webinar on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that discussed balanced/performance-engineered asphalt mixture design. Agencies have identified the integration of mechanical and performance tests with current volumetric design practice as an encouraging method for the production of longer-lasting asphalt pavements. Part I of this webinar series focuses on examining how agencies are approaching balanced/performance engineered mixture design, how well their efforts are moving forward, and the challenges they are facing on the path to implementation. Part 2 of the series will take place on Monday, November 26, 2018, and will focus on case studies of successful balanced/performance-engineered mixture designs.

This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committees on Nonasphalt Components of Asphalt Paving Mixtures, Structural Requirements of Asphalt Mixtures, and Surface Requirements of Asphalt Mixtures.

A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to Professional Engineers (PEs) who register and attend the webinar as an individual. For groups, only the person that registers and attends the session will receive a PDH certificate. Certificates of Completion will be issued only to individuals who register for and attend the entire webinar session.

Individuals registered as Florida PEs are no longer required to email TRB with your license number to report your attendance. Instead, please use your certificate that TRB provides through RCEP.net as verification of your attendance to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.

Please check with your licensing board to ensure that TRB webinar PDHs are approved by your board.
