TRB Volunteer Profile: Dr. Jonathan Rubin
Jonathan Rubin, Director of the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center at the University of Maine, is a featured volunteer in the
TR News. His research specialties include economics of transportation energy, climate change, and alternative fuels. Dr. Rubin’s research focuses on the economics of cellulosic biofuels and the environmental impact of autonomous vehicles. His work has been supported by the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
At TRB, Dr. Rubin currently serves as chair of the Environment and Energy Section. He has also served as a member of project panels for the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) and National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP).
