Idling Reduction for Emergency Vehicles: A Case Study

The U.S. Department of Energy has released a fact sheet that summarizes the findings from a case study in which emergency vehicle fleets adopted idling reduction technologies. These technologies include battery auxiliary power units (APUs), diesel APUs, electrified parking spaces, and a managed engine stop/start system.
