Review of Data Usage for Road Management and Native American Student Attendance Strategies

The U.S. Government Accountability Office has released a report that reviews condition and school-access issues related to roads on tribal lands. The research examines the extent to which the National Tribal Transportation Facility Inventory and Deferred Maintenance Reporting systems provide useful data on these roads; any challenges to improving and maintaining these roads; and what is known about the connection between road condition and school attendance as well as other aspects of school transportation.
