Automated Vehicle Crash Rate Comparison Using Naturalistic Data

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute has released a report that assesses driving risk in the United States nationally and for the Google Self-Driving Car Project by considering crash rates reported to the police, crash rates for different types of roadways, and scenarios that give rise to unreported crashes.
