Effects of Program and Contract Management on ERAM Delays and NextGen Initiatives

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Inspector General has released a report about the effects of program and contract management on implementation of the En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM)—a part of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen)—which is being developed to replace and enhance existing hardware and software for managing high-altitude air traffic.
