TRB’s second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2) has released a project brief that highlights a new tool to help highway agency managers and engineers preserve high-volume roadways in serviceable condition for longer periods of time, at a lower cost, in a safer manner, and with limited disruption to the traveling public.
The brief also describes two products available in both print and electronic formats: Guidelines for the Preservation of High-Traffic-Volume Roadways, and a final report of the research conducted in Renewal Project R26: Preservation Approaches for High-Traffic-Volume Roadways.
