TRB Straight to Recording for All: How Do Site Selectors Determine a Community’s Transportation Infrastructure Competitiveness?
TRB released a series of recordings in May 2019 that examines the site selection process for the siting of facilities, including retail, office, industrial, and other businesses. For businesses and the private sector in a global economy, the site selection process may involve a selection from thousands of potential locations. The presenters explore how site selectors evaluate a community’s transportation infrastructure. They also discuss how transportation infrastructure may be among the factors that prevent a community from being eliminated from consideration during the site selection process.
This series was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Transportation and Economic Development and the TRB Standing Committee on Freight Transportation Planning and Logistics. The videos are available on-demand at no cost.
