TRB Straight to Recording for All: Application of Petrography to Highway Materials
TRB recorded a series of videos in April 2017 that analyzed how petrography can be used to resolve performance problems and to characterize the raw materials so as to prevent poor performance. Presenters discussed how petrography, the study of rocks at a microscopic level, is applied to all components of highways, including soils, bridges, tunnels, and other structures. The presenters also evaluated specific petrographic case studies. The videos are available on-demand at no cost.
The
slides are available. The
videos are also available.
