TRB Webinar: Construction of Mass Concrete Transportation Infrastructure
TRB conducted a webinar on Monday, August 6, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET that explored construction of mass concrete structures, such as bridge piers and other large volume placements. The presenters discussed the reasons why it is important to control concrete temperatures in mass concrete construction projects, how to control in-place concrete temperatures, and the latest advances in post-cooling methods. The webinar also provided examples of concrete temperature control in various mass concrete projects in the United States.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Basic Research and Emerging Technologies Related to Concrete, the TRB Standing Committee on Properties of Concrete, the TRB Standing Committee on Durability of Concrete, the TRB Standing Committee on Concrete Materials and Placement Techniques, and the TRB Standing Committee on Concrete Bridges.

A certificate for 2.0 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to Professional Engineers (PEs) who register and attend the webinar as an individual. For groups,
only the person that registers and attends the session will receive a PDH certificate. Certificates of Completion will be issued only to individuals who register for and attend the entire webinar session.
Individuals registered as Florida PEs are no longer required to email TRB with your license number to report your attendance. Instead, please use your certificate that TRB provides through RCEP.net as verification of your attendance to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
