Subcommittee on Planning and Policy Review

Committee Scope: The purposes and functions of this subcommittee are to: (1) advise the Executive Committee and staff on matters relating to the selection, scope, and execution of policy-oriented studies within TRB; (2) establish goals and directions for those parts of TRB engaged in policy studies; (3) plan and develop opportunities for new Executive Committee initiatives; (4) identify critical transportation issues warranting TRB consideration; (5) act for the Executive Committee with respect to decisions normally made by the Executive Committee on all study matters requiring attention between regularly scheduled Executive Committee meetings; (6) advise the TRB Division Committee of actions taken--especially those for which subsequent SNO action is required; and (7) report to the Executive Committee on all its activities at each Executive Committee meeting.
