The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 89th Annual Meeting was held in Washington, D.C., at the Connecticut Avenue Collection hotels: Marriott Wardman Park, Omni Shoreham, and Hilton Washington. The information-packed program attracted more than 10,000 transportation professionals from around the world to Washington, D.C., January 10-14, 2010.
TRB 89th Annual Meeting Video on Demand Series Now Available!
The Visual Aids Presentations Online Library from the majority of Workshops, Lectern and Poster Sessions presented during the TRB 89th Annual Meeting and e-Sessions (visual aids, video, and audio recording) from more than 40 sessions are available via the Video on Demand Series. The TRB 89th Annual Meeting Compendium of Papers, which includes more than 1,900 papers, is now on sale for $105. The Compendium is available for a limited time. Many of the papers included in the DVD will be published as part of the 2010 Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board series. The 2010 TRR: Journal series will include approximately 50 volumes that will consist of collections of papers on specific transportation modes and subject areas. The Compendium of Papers Index provides the list of research papers included in the DVD.

The TRB Annual Meeting program covered all transportation modes, with more than 3,000 presentations in nearly 600 sessions addressing topics of interest to all attendees—policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. The spotlight theme for 2010 was Investing in Our Transportation Future – BOLD Ideas to Meet BIG Challenges.
The Interactive Program is available to assist you in deciding which sessions to view using the Online Library (available by the beginning of February). You can use the Interactive Program to conduct searches by session title, paper title, keywords, author, and subject area. Meeting registration enables enhanced features of the Interactive Program.
