TRB Webinar: Unclutter Your Processes – Simplifying Climate Risk Management at Airports

Airport personnel were invited to a TRB webinar on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET. The webinar featured research from the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Research Report 188: Using Existing Airport Management Systems to Manage Climate Risk.

This webinar identified airport-related climate and weather risks. Presenters discussed disparate airport management programs that use varied decision-making systems, such as enterprise risk management, safety management, and emergency management. They also explored asset management and capital planning. This webinar provided ways in which airports can adjust these systems to better manage and prepare for potential risks from climate change.
