Advancing Smart Card and NFC Technologies at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority has released a report that investigates the creation of a transportation system that utilizes existing smart card and near field communications technology to integrate access to bus, rail, carsharing, bikesharing, secure bicycle parking, shuttles, and vehicular parking. The research may streamline the commuting process and encourage employees to utilize alternative transportation options.
