TRB conducted a webinar on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:30PM ET that explains how to conduct basic measurements of sign and pavement marking retroreflectivity using equipment available to state department of transportation (DOT) employees. This webinar summarized sign retroreflectivity assessment methods used to meet the new minimum requirements in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This webinar presented advancements in road markings that support autonomous vehicle technologies. The webinar had updated material from a similar
webinar conducted in October 2015.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Signing and Marking Materials. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) was provided to attendees who register and attend the webinar as an individual. Contact Reggie Gillum at
RGillum@nas.edu for instructions on receiving a copy of the recorded webinar.
Here are the slides.
