Sponsors
Sponsors are the major source of financial support for TRB's core technical activities. Federal, state, and local government agencies and professional societies and organizations that represent various industry groups are eligible to be TRB sponsors. Fees and services are negotiated with each sponsor to best serve its particular needs and to provide fundamental support for the Board's programs and activities of interest to the entire transportation community. The minimum annual fee is $60,000.
Sponsors are represented on the TRB Executive Committee. In addition, the transportation departments of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico each have an official representative to provide liaison with the Board (see list of State Representatives).
Organizations that are TRB sponsors are entitled to display educational, non-commercial exhibits at the TRB Annual Meeting.

Organizational Affiliates
Organizational Affiliates are organizations, institutions, and agencies committed to the advancement
of knowledge about the nature and performance of transportation systems and their components.
The value to the organization of its association with TRB is the receipt of TRB publications on a regular basis,
access to the TRB information services, and personal contact through TRB activities with the leaders in transportation research.
