Transit: Rail Transit, Commuter Rail, Light Rail Transit, Major Activity Center Circulation Systems, New Technology, and Maintenance
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1838 provides the customer’s perspective on potential designs for multilevel coaches in New Jersey Transit commuter trains; examines the visual delineation of the outline of the dynamic envelope occupied by light rail transit cars or trains traveling along or across roadways and walkways; describes a three-stage effort to reallocate empty personal rapid transit vehicles to reduce average waiting times; and discusses a new approach to effective and sustainable urban transport with personal rapid transit.
Individual TRR Journals, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes.
Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through TRB's Publication Index. In the Series field type "Record & 1838" (without the quotes). After reviewing the abstracts, you will need to use your browser's "back" button to return to this screen in order to purchase the publication.
