TRB Webinar: Spatial Modeling for Highway Performance Monitoring System Data: Part 1
TRB conducted a webinar on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET that discussed how to incorporate spatial modeling and statistical tools to enhance the quality and productivity of travel monitoring data. Presenters focused on the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS), which is a compilation of roadway characteristics, including inventory, traffic, and performance data. They described a case study from the Hawaii Department of Transportation, which incorporated spatial modeling tools to fulfill a federal HPMS mandate. This was the first in a two-part series; the second webinar is scheduled for March 6, 2018.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Geographic Information Science and Applications.
The slides are available.
