Low-Stress Bicycling and Network Connectivity
The Mineta Transportation Institute at San Jose State University has released a report that explores development of measures of low-stress connectivity that may be used to evaluate and help guide bicycle network planning.
The report defines low-stress connectivity as providing routes between people’s origins and destinations that do not require cyclists to use links that exceed their tolerance for traffic stress, and that do not involve an undue level of detour.
