 TRB 89th Annual Meeting - January 10-14, 2010

Program

Interactive Program Now Available

The TRB Annual Meeting program covers all transportation modes, with more than 3,000 presentations in nearly 600 sessions addressing topics of interest to all attendees—policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. The spotlight theme for 2010 is Investing in Our Transportation Future – BOLD Ideas to Meet BIG Challenges.

Interactive Program
The Interactive Program (containing detailed information on workshops, lectern sessions, meet-the-author poster sessions, and committee meetings) is now available. You can use the Interactive Program to conduct searches by session title, paper title, keywords, author, and subject area to plan your personalized itinerary. Meeting registration enables enhanced features of the Interactive Program, including access to meeting room names.

All advance-registered attendees to the TRB 89th Annual Meeting, January 10-14, 2010, will have Internet access to almost 2,000 papers included in the Annual Meeting Compendium of Papers. Access to the papers is available through the Annual Meeting’s Interactive Program in late December. You must enter the e-mail address you used during the registration process to access the papers. Links to papers are available on the session details page and can be accessed by clicking on the "PDF" following the title of the presentation. If "PDF" does not appear, there is either no paper associated with that presentation or the author did not give TRB permission to include their paper in the Compendium of Papers. This new benefit is designed to provide attendees additional information as they develop their Annual Meeting schedules. Advance access to the papers will also help enhance the benefit of the sessions by facilitating in-depth discussions between attendees and paper authors.

Workshops
A complete listing of all Saturday, Sunday and Thursday Workshops and their descriptions is provided to assist you in deciding when to arrive and depart from the Annual Meeting. "No Fee" workshop attendees are required to register for the TRB Annual Meeting.

NEW! The Human Factors Workshops will be held on Saturday, January 9.
The Human Factors Workshops have limits on attendance and a separate fee to cover coffee service, lunch with keynote speaker, and a reception. Tickets are required and may be purchased ($250 Advance; $320 Onsite) during the registration process.

Nationally recognized Professional Development Hours (PDHs) may be claimed for attending the TRB Annual Meeting. Each hour of participation earns one (1) PDH; attendees must maintain their own records of attendance. TRB will confirm an individual’s registration at the request of the licensing or certifying agency. The Annual Meeting Final Program will include a credit statement form for PDHs.

CM logo For the first time, Continuing Maintenance [CM] credits for retaining American Institute of Certified Planners certification [AICP] will be offered at the 2010 TRB Annual Meeting. The sessions that have been approved for CM credits will be noted in both the Annual Meeting Interactive Program and the printed Final Program. A CM credit form for tracking sessions attended during the Annual Meeting will be posted on the TRB website. Note that, at this time, neither TRB nor the 2010 Annual Meeting is certified with the New York or Florida state licensing boards. TRB will continue to work with state boards to become an approved provider of their continuing education credits.
